Job Description:
- Responsibilities:
- Determine the method of shipment
- Schedule distribution of goods and transportation conveyances
- Prepare bills of lading, invoices, and other shipping documents
- Assemble containers and crates
- Inspect and verify incoming goods against invoices or other documents
- Maintain internal record-keeping system
- Route goods to appropriate storage areas
- Pack goods to be shipped and unpack goods received
- Oversee the loading and unloading of goods
- Supervise material handlers and helpers
- Experience and Skills:
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
- Experience: Previous experience is an asset
- Certificates and Licenses: Forklift Operator Certification, Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB) clearance Certificate
- Equipment and Machinery: Experience with industrial lift trucks and forklifts
- Work Conditions: Handling heavy loads (up to 23 kg or 50 lbs), attention to detail
